EnergyFit
Program Management, Policy Research, Advocacy
EnergyFit is clean energy retrofit program designed for low/moderate income 1-4 family homes in Brooklyn. The program's strength lies in how it bridges the gap between policy and practice: building-level data collection and analysis happen alongside direct resident engagement, creating a feedback loop that allows the team to continuously iterate based on what's actually happening on the ground. That blend of relational work and rigorous data management is what makes EnergyFit not just a service delivery program, but a living model for equitable energy planning. As a Climate Initiatives Fellow at the Pratt Center, I contributed to both the program management and policy research dimensions of EnergyFit, an experience that shaped my approach to community development work at every scale since.
The policy brief below analyzed NY State’s energy efficiency programming and highlights the gaps that our program aimed to fill.
